On June 30, Cargill launched plant meat brand PlantEver in Chinese market, which is aimed at satisfying Chinese consumers' demand for nutritious and tasty alternative protein, following the successful public test of KFC's PlantEver chicken nugget product in April this year.
The first plant-based meat contains two products, namely plant-based chicken nuggets and plant-based beef patties. The plant-based chicken nuggets are already on the market, and the plant-based beef patties will be available in July.
The above products will be launched in e-commerce flagship stores online and offline channels. Next, Cargill and Lawson will launch two more plant-based products, vegan fresh bass and vegetarian chicken strips, which are expected to start shipping in July.
