On January 15, the results of a survey on users' demand for health products in 2018 launched by Beijing Business Weekly were released. Pharmacies are still the main channels for consumers to purchase health products.
According to the survey, 89% of consumers know about health products through TV, Internet or Xiao Hong Shu App. In terms of purchasing factors, 23% of consumers said that product efficacy was the primary consideration. Brand and product quality were the second and third most important factors, accounting for 22% and 18% respectively.
While getting to know more about health products, the rise of online e-commerce gives consumers more choices in purchasing health products. Data show that the current health products sales channels are pharmacies, chain stores, commercial supermarkets, online e-commerce channels, and etc. At present, pharmacy is still the main sales channel of health products. According to the results of the survey, 30% of users choose to buy at the pharmacy, followed by online purchases at 29%.
