In 2018, the total value of import and export retail commodities through customs cross-border e-commerce management platform reached ¥134.7 billion, an increase of 50%, of which exports were ¥56.12 billion, up 67%, and imports, ¥78.58 billion, up 39.8%.
Cross-border e-commerce has always been an important part of customs supervision.The E-Commerce Law was officially implemented on January 1, 2019, which will provide legal support for cross-border e-commerce customs supervision, and protection of consumer rights and interests and intellectual property.
Greater steps will continuously be taken this year on expansion of imports. The 2nd China International Import Expo will be held this year in response to the promotion of a comprehensive opening-up. The General Administration of Customs will introduce more measures in support of expanding import and export and further improving the trade facilitation, etc.
