Herbalife (NYSE: HLF), one of the world's leading nutrition companies, recently announced its financial results of Q3, 2018. According to the figures, Herbalife's global net sales in Q3 were $1.2bn, up 15% year on year. Q3 Net sales in the Chinese market were 266.5 million US dollars, up 27% year on year including the impact of foreign exchange, and up 29.3% year on year excluding the same.

 

"The positive results we have had this quarter are testament to the remarkable results of our growth strategy, which includes fostering an innovative culture, accelerating new product launches, applying the latest technology, and increasing the value of our marketers.At the same time, Herbalife launched 58 new products in 51 countries in Q3, enabling marketers to better offer existing customers a wider range of products, while combining the latest trends in the health industry with local cultural preferences to attract new customers," said Gu Lishi, global chief executive of Herbalife.


"In addition to achieving good business performance, we continued to adjust our capital structure to create better value-added opportunities for our shareholders. In August, we completed two debt agreements with a total value of $1.65 billion. In addition, we have officially announced that we will complete a new round of share repurchase authorizations valued $1.5 billion in over the next five years, which enables us to continue with the implementation of the share repurchase program. Since 2007, this program has brought more than $4.5 billion in capital returns to our shareholders.” said Gu Lishi.


Based on the positive development status, Herbalife has initially set the target range for net sales growth rate for the fiscal year 2019 at 2.8%~6.8%, considering a fall in the exchange rate of about 220 basis points.
