According to the Herbridge Media, the CFDA issued a document on July 6, 2015 to select 7 units including the Nutrition and Health Institute of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, etc. as the CFDA health food registration inspection institutions (hereinafter referred to as registration inspection institutions) according to the provisions of the Management Method for Selection of Health Food Registration Inspection Institutions, Specifications for Selection of Health Food Registration Inspection Institutions, etc. 
 
The list of the approved registration inspection institutions is as follows:
 
• Nutrition and Health Institute of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention
• Health Food Function Inspection Center of College of Arts and Science of Beijing Union University
• Animal, Plant and Food Inspection Center of Jiangsu Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau
• Suzhou Institute for Food and Drug Control
• Hangzhou Institute for Food and Drug Control (Hangzhou Institute for Medical Equipment Control)
• Anhui Academy of Medical Sciences
• Xiamen Institute for Drug Control
 
The CFDA requires that the inspection qualification validity period of the approved registration inspection institutions is 5 years. Within the range of the determined inspection items, each registration inspection institution will carry out the registration inspection and review inspection on domestic and imported health foods and provide inspection reports according to the relevant provisions of the health food registration inspection institutions from November 30, 2015. The number of registration inspection institutions is composed of a three-digit Arabic number.
