Vietnam produces 65 percent of Huaimi for rutin production of China in recent two years, according to herbridge.com. Considering lower price and higher rutin content, domestic manufacturers tend to import Huaimi from Vietnam. But either Vietam-sourced or homegrown Huai sees a year-on-year decrease of the rutin content.
Huaimi price began rising in February and rose about 4 percent by mid-March. So domestic rutin manufacturers are waiting and watching, and just purchase small batch if they need. The high price leads to low sales for Huaimi.
Rutin manufacturers are mostly located in Sichuan province, and major players include Sichuan Guangsong Pharmaceutical, Sichuan Xieli Pharmaceutical and Chengdu Okay Plant &Chemical.
