It is hard for acticarbon to further absorb metal when the metal content is less than 10ppm, which is obsessing players in China's APIs and herbal extract industry, Phosphonics Scavenger can solve this problem, said Dr. Andy Xu, Director of Business Development in Asia Pacific.

Phosphonics Metal Scavengers are designed to remove a wide variety of metals from highly functionalized substrates. Wider range of immobilized functionalities, including multiple FGs, gives high metal affinity for diverse range of APIs with very high product recovery. High thermal, chemical and mechanical stability allow a broad range of operating conditions and ensure no impurities added to product stream even under forcing conditions. The processing is simple, scalable and cost-effective, according to Dr. Christopher North, Technology Specialist of Phosphonics.

Phosphonics Scavengers have been used on multi-kg scale by major Pharma & FC companies with increasing usage from Discovery onwards.

When used in the aqueous stream of Fenugreek seed extract, the Hg content declined to less than 1ppm from initially 10-15ppm, which is awaiting large scale trial. When American ginseng extract is treated with Phosphonics scavenger, the pesticide content decreased to less than 0.1ppm, which conforms to the industry standard. It is being tested on 5000 l batch scale currently.

Established in 2003, Phosphonics has grown into a leading clean-tech company in this specific area. With Head Office and R&D center located in Milton Park, Oxfordshire, the company operates 3 manufacturing sites on the globle. It sets up global sales network and owns global development partners, including Heraeus.

"We provide the full package service from supplying metal scavengers to engineering equimpment", said Dr. Andy Xu, "We warmly invite you to discuss your technical requirements with us."

Many participants are interested in Phosphonics Scavengers. They warmly discussed with Dr. Andy Xu and Dr. Christopher North, and asked for samples for a trial.
