There is no Cranberry juice on sale in domestic market. The collaboration of Huiyuan and Ocean Spray will prompt the fast and health development of domestic juice sector, according to Dr.Gao Yanxiang from Collage of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering, China Agriculture University.
As the largest producer, the USA contributes to 77 percent of the global cranberry growing area. The second largest producer is Canada, which accounts for 21 percent. With cranberry sector booming, America exports large quantities of cranberry serial products. The trail cultivation has begun in Poland, Austria, German and Russia.
Cranberry's antioxidant capacity is 20 times of Vitamin C and 50 times of Vitamin E. Cranberry is also found to prevent urinary tract infection, decrease the occurrence of stomach ulcer and gastric cancer, reduce the risks for cardiovascular disease, brighten skin and protect tooth. Cranberry based products available include dried fruit, juice, baked foods, dairy product and cereal.
