According to herbridge media,on the U.S. market in 2011,the sales of pepper extract as the main or single formula supplements reached $ 270,000 in chain pharmacies and food stores,compared with the market at the same period in 2010,it increased with 49 percentage points.The capsanthin ranked 25 in the U.S. selling plant extracts.

The major consumer countries of capsanthin were United States, Japan, Europe.According to herbridge media,the demand of international market reached 6,500 tons in 2012. Enterprise in China can supply  6,000 tons annual.China was one of the main producing countries of pepper, India imported pepper through deep processing then supply foreign markets.The company invested by
Indian merchants in Xinjiang annual supply capacity was 1,000 tons,which brought competitive pressure on China capsanthin enterprises.Xinjiang Chenguang capsanthin first exported to Japan for 10 tons at the first half of the 2012 ,which opened another door of the international market.

The current market and the forecast of future market

Accoring to pepper cost advantage,the content of Xinjiang pepper is higher than other places, due to the difference of cost,The market quotations of capsanthin differ in nearly 10-20 yuan per kilogram.
The market of capsanthin in December 2012 was still in the period of volatility,the market price remained downward trend in January 2013,compared to December,it had decreased by 8%.With the end of the traditional festivals in China, the price of capsanthin may increase.
