Shikimic acid price kept rising from May to August.In the same time,Roache and other enterprises signed numbers of orders with plant extracts manufacturers in China.According to herbridge.com,the transaction price of shikimic acid was not more than 1,000,000RMB/t for the single uses of shikimic acid.However,aniseed price kept rising since June.The price rose to 23RMB/kg from 5-6RMB/kg in February.On the one hand,aniseed price rises.On the other hand,Roache and other enterprises purchase tons of shikimic acid at lower price with their own power.Therefore,suppliers of shikimic acid don’t benefit greatly.
At present,shikimic acid price becomes stable which varies between 980RMB/kg and 1100 RMB/kg.Aniseed harvest time arrived in August.The price will go down as soon as the new raw materials enter the market.Therefore,shikimic acid price will likely fall further.
