On August 4, China Taiwan health welfare food and drug administration announced, in addition to the licensing of health food, the rest of the food sold must not be labeled “healthy” in order to avoid consumers misunderstanding.
The new rules expected effect on July 1, 2022, food name violators will be fined TWD $40000 to 4million, and recycling corrections within a time limit.
According to the definition of The Health Food Administration Law of Taiwan, China, healthy food refers to the food with specific health care effects and substantial scientific evidence, which is not the medical efficacy in the treatment and correction of human diseases. It can be marked with the small green man logo on the packaging box.
