Herbridge, 17 Sep_Centella asiatica mainly grows in Guangxi and Guizhou provinces. The ones in Guangxi, with higher asiaticoside content, are for the herbal extract industry. The ones in Guizhou are mostly purchased by domestic pharmaceuticals and herbal tea manufacturers. The new crop is arriving to the market. Compared to last year, the production is of no difference, but centella price grows by 0.5 yuan per kilogram on higher labor and transport cost.
"With stable demand, centella asiatica extracts are still for foreign market. The main products include 10% triterpenoid saponins and 10% asiaticoside for dietary supplements. The market will remain stable." said a person from Guilin Layn Natural Ingredients Corp, which has been developing the extracts since 2001.
