Herbridge, 22 August_In August, the epimedium seed harvest is basically completed and new crop arrives in market through China. It is the tough season for epimedium extracts, so most goods are traded at small amounts. The amount purchased by Pharmaceutical firms is small temporarily, which is beneficial to manufacturers of herbal extracts. Epimedium extract market is stable now.
"Epimedium extract prices have dropped since June. The mean decrease is about 20 yuan per kilogram. More specifically, the price difference for 10% icariin is around 10 yuan per kilogram; 20% icariin, about 50 yuan per kilogram." said herbridge.com.
Epimedium extracts will see growing demand in September, when it is the peak season for herbal extracts. Epimedium extract prices are expected to remain stalbe in Sept.
