According to the report of Herbridge Media, Gan County Economic Development Zone is listed in the pilot units of Jiangxi province’s second batch of provincial-level circular economy this month.
In 2009, the people’s government of Gan County had set its goal of establishing two industrial parks with annual output value over RMB 10 billion. They are Hongjin industrial Park and Yangtang Industrial Park. The tax-oriented enterprises in the two industrial parks have played an important role in running the circular economy and environmental protection economy. Ganzhou Julong High-tech Industrial Co., Ltd and PureCircle (Jiangxi) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Located in Yang Tang Industrial Park, are two major stevia manufacturers. They are required establishing sewage treatment plant of high standards and actively promote green production.
It has also learned that the park has vigorously promoted the recycle of corporate waste resources and formed two industrial chains of circular economy. Ganzhou Julong High-tech Industrial Co., Ltd and PureCircle (Jiangxi) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. have honored as the typical representative of stevia deep processing industry. The waste residue of the companies is used for biomass power generation, feed processing and fertilizer processing by other enterprises. Thus, circular economy is formed by local production and processing of raw materials and treatment of waste on site and finally used in the local agriculture production.

Along with PureCircle also located in this park, Julong High-tech Industrial Co., Ltd covers 60% share of the domestic stevioside market and annually extracts 4,000 tons stevioside, 1,800 tons A3 glycosides crystalline products with over 97% of the content, and 1,500 tons steviosin. Julong High-tech Industrial Co., Ltd’ has established integrated research facility of testing, analysis, experiment and research and development with area over 500 m2.This company has purchased over 40 sets of various equipment such as ultra-high performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography. In the research of Stevia seed, it has established a tissue cultivation room with 100 square meters.
