Herbridge, 30 Nov. 2011_As for ginger extracts, there was a long way for domestic manufacturers to catch up with Indian manufacturers in terms of technology and standards last year. But in 2011, specialized manufacturers appear in China and Sunhere Bio-Engineering Co., Ltd is an example. The company used supercritical fluid extraction technology to produce ginger extracts on a large scale this year. The company claimed to have annual production capacity of 150 MT ginger extracts and can supply ginger extracts with gingerol content up to 70 percents. This high purity is a big breakthrough in China. But ginger extracts with gingerol content less than 60 percents are needed in the market.
5% gingerol is the common product, which is produced by water extraction, ethanol extraction or supercritical fluid extraction. The prices depend largely on extraction methods and its quality. Ginger extracts are in stable supply in China.
