Herbridge, 21 Nov. 2011_Curcumin prices jumped through 2010 and remained high until October this year. As more turmeric are available in foreign markets, turmeric prices dropped recently and curcumin prices retreated accordingly.
According to herbridge.com, the favored climate conditions associated with growing areas' expansion in India will bring larger amounts of turmeric in 2011. Domestic manufacturers with imported turmeric as raw materials planed to go to India and Burma for bargaining turmeric prices. "The turmeric in India has higher quality than that in Burma this year. Owing to the fact that it is hard to gain high-content turmeric now, turmeric may see higher prices in the future." said Fang, manager of Ningbo Traditional Chinese Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd.
Curcumin prices began to drop this month and will fluctuate with turmeric prices in the future.
