Herbridge, 14 Sept. 2011_The good harvest for Huaimi (sophora flower bud) in July pleased global customers of rutin manufacturers in China. The prices for NF11 version decreased sharply to around 250RMB/kg in early August, compared to 360RMB/kg before the harvest. The new products arrived in large volume in mid-August, driving the prices down 220RMB/kg.

The prices were stable and basically accepted in mid-August. Meanwhile, the oral troxerutin market began to operate in China. Yabao Pharmaceutical Group and Taiyuan Pharmaceutical Works began to order rutin at a large scale, offerring growth potential for the rutin industry.  Manufacturers respond to expand production. The rutin market suffered from supply tension after one-week stability and NF11 prices increased by RMB 20 per kilogram.

Rutin manufacturers rushed to purchase Huaimi, resulting into RMB 10 growth of Huaimi prices. Rutin manufacturers refused to quote prices and claimed that the production schedule before mid-October was already made. Rutin prices rose nearly 300 RMB/kg, and rutin serial products such as troxerutin and quercetin saw higher prices accordingly.
