Qinlong Pharm Gains Organic Certification for Magnolia Lines

Herbridge, 21 Sept. 2011_Shaanxi Yangxian Qinlong Pharm Co., Ltd（Qinlong Pharm) announced to gain organic certification on magnolia bark and its Chinese herbal medicine, magnolol as well as magnolol & honokiol after the review by Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture and Forestry Organic Certification Centre (NWAFUC).
Qinlong Pharm has operated magnolia planting and production according to strict organic requirements since 2007. The company received the certification of Conversion to Organic from NWAFUC in Oct. 2010. Qinlong Pharm has established four organic planting bases with total areas of 36,000 mu. The production of certified products are as follows: organic magnolia bark is 3800 tons; Chinese herbal medicine, 2640 tons; magnolol, 50.4 tons and magnolol & honokiol, 50.4 tons. With modern devices of extraction, refining and purification, the company promises to provide high-quality, reliable products and service to customers.
The company is located in Yang County, Shaanxi province. The county, which is known as Treasure-house of Biological Resources and Natural Gene Bank of Species, is awarded as National Organic Production Base. There grows many organic products, including grape, black rice and pear. The county produces 469 kinds of Chinese Medicinal Herb, including magnolia, honeysuckle, Scutellaria, Gynostemma and Huzhang.
"We plan to build Yang County into the home of Magnolia, and try to gain Protected Designation of Origin for magnolia." said Ran Zhilong, General Manager of Qinlong Pharm.
