Herbridge, 29 Aug. 2011_The new turmeric crop has arrived at manufacturers' plants in China. The curcumin market sees no change from two months ago. Compared to last year, there are more manufacturers specialized in curcumin production, primarily curcumin standarded by UV test.
The prices vary significantly from different test methods. As for 95% curcumin, the UV-tested version is quoted around 1300RMB/kg compared to around 1500RMB/kg of the HPLC-tested version in China. These prices are similar with that in June. The market is expected to keep stable in next month.
