Herbridge, 15 Aug. 2011_Passiflora incarnata originated in the tropical regions in Americas with its fruits recognized as Juice King. The plant has been introduced in South China, especially Yunnan and Guangxi provinces. Domestic growers primarily sell the fruits in China. Due to very small demand for passiflora extracts, manufacturers mainly adopt order production to offer these extracts in China.
The extracts' prices vary significantly in China. The extracts standardized to 4% flavones are quoted at 80RMB/kg or 150RMB/kg in the market.
