Herbridge, 8 July 2011_Farmers are busy picking sophora flower bud (huaimi) in the growing areas in China. The leading rutin manufacturers are expected to complete the purchasing activities for production in late July. At that time, main players may decrease rutin's prices step by step after they check their production cost.
Huaimi is seeing a good harvest this year and may see the similar output of common years. However, the sevious shortage last year resulted in rutin's short supply, so that only a little rutin and huaimi remained in the market before the harvest. That is to say the new crop actually bear one year's rutin demand. It is hard for the supply to exceed the demand in the following year. Therefore, the prices will decline slowly in the future.
According to herbridge.com, some small manufacturers involving in the segment last year either decide to withdraw or watch the market. With competition gradually concentrating in leading manufacturers, the supply-side profile may become clear in the future.
