Herbridge, 28 June 2011_Garcinia cambogia grows in India rather than China. Therefore, China has no advantages over India in the fields of carcinia cambogia extracts. Generally, domestic manufacturers import garcinia cambogia fruits or powders from Inida to produce garcinia cambogia extracts for domestic demand.
The unfavorable climates resulted into a very poor harvest last year. The short supply make the fruits' prices increase in India. According to herbridge.com, garcinia cambogia extracts began to see higher prices in April in China. The prices for 60% HydroxycitricAcid (HCA) concentration and 95% HCA concentration were around 160RMB/kg and 300RMB/kg, respectively. The prices are both around ¥40 higher per kilogram now.
There are a little carcinia cambogia extracts available in China. Ningbo Dekang Biochem Co., Ltd and Ningbo Taipio Herbal Science Co.,Ltd are the leading manufacturers of garcinia cambogia extracts in China. The former has some extracts in stock, while the later offers customized production with little stocks. Ningxia Hongde Bio-tech Co., Ltd primarily offer garcinia cambogia proportion extracts with the 10:1 one quoted around 120RMB/kg.
According to herbridge.com, the new crop will arrive in market in the fall. The market may fluctuate before the harvest.
