Herbridge, 17 June 2011_The extremely poor harvest last year gave the reason for the lutein market to keep high prices in 2011. Lutein prices rose signficantly since March this year. said Yang, manager of Hebei Jobon Bio-Tech Co.,Ltd. The prices for 5% curcumin (HPLC) rise to 330-350RMB/kg from 170RMB/kg of late 2010. Industry players look forward to the new harvest.

Additionaly, the marigold plantation began in Peru and Viet Nam in 2011.
