China Grants Two Seed Oil Novel Foods Status

Herbridge, 22 April 2011_Acer truncatum bunge seed oil and peony seed oil are approved as novel foods in China. Acer truncatum bunge seed oil, a transparent oil in golden yellow color, is made from the seeds of acer truncatum bunge. With the same performance, peony seed oil is processed from the seeds of Paeonia ostii T.Hong et J.X.Zhang or Paeonia rockii. Both of the two products are not allowed in infant food.
