China Published Illegal Substances List

Herbridge,25 April 2011_Food Safety Commission Office of the State Council published a list of 151 substances illegally added in food and feed.
The list includes 47 non-food substances which may appear in food such as Sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, sudan red and melamine, and 22 food additives which may be abused such as allura red, tartrazine and adipic acid, as well as 82 drugs or substances which are banned in feed, drinking water of animals and aquaculture activity.
This reflects that the government is making efforts to ensure food safety.
