Herbridge, 10 Mar.2010_Unlike bilberry, blueberry and cranberry, black currant doesn't have a wide range of applications. The demand for black currant extract is small in both domestic and overseas market. The market keeps relatively stable in China.
Most manufacturers adopt domestic black currant for the production of fruit powders, anthocyanidin and anthocyanin in China. There are only a few manufacturers to offer black currant extracts, and some of them just regard black currant extracts as additional products. Some manufacturers featured by berry-based products also don't focus on the promotion of black currant extracts. According to herbridge.com, the market for black currant extracts has remained stable since early 2010, and will continue to keep stable in the near future. 25% anthocyanin (UV) prices are still maintained around 2000RMB/kg.
Currently, the total anthocyanin market keeps stable in China.
