Herbridge, 23 Mar.2011_The epimedium extract market has been stable since last December in China.
Typically, most manufacturers reduce prices to stimulate demand for capital collection at the end of the year, and they increase prices after the Spring Festival. But the demand basically sees no change now compared to that before the last Spring Festival. Therefore, increase prices as some manufacturers did in the past two months, the prices just increased by ￥50-100 per kilogram.
According to herbridge.com, manufacturers already completed the purchasing activities in months following the last harvest. If the demand keeps stable, the prices will not increase significantly despite slightly increased production cost in the future. Currently, 10% icariin prices are still maintained around 700RMB/kg.
