Herbridge, 17 Mar.2011_Curcumin in China is derived from tumeric primarily growing in India, Burma, Laos, Viet Nam, Yunnan province and Sichuan province. Curcumin has higer prices now, but the increased turmeric cost suppresses domestic manufacturers' enthusiasm to purchase turmeric from India. The new crop is said to arrive with a lower price in India.
According to herbridge.com, some large manufacturers will offer new curcumin in mid-April. Manufacturers may continue to remain hesitant and keep watching the market. Some manufacturers produce low-content curcumin with domestic turmeric for domestic demand.
Curcumin market is stable now in China, and 95% curcumin is priced between 1450RMB/kg and 1550RMB/kg.
