Herbridge, 16 Mar.2011_The prices for st.john's wort extracts rise again in China.
According to herbridge.com, some manufacturers have sold all the inventory by March. They have to purchase st.john's wort at a higher price now. In other words, the varied cost of st.john's wort also lead to varied prices of hypericin except for qualities in China. The prices will not differ signficantly when most manufacturers adopt new crops in 2011.
0.3% hypericin prices range from 120RMB/kg to 190RMB/kg in China, while the highest level of 130RMB/kg was recorded in 2006. In general, the prices for hypericin will increase in January and March. The future market of St.john's wort extract is expected to fluctuate in China.
