Herbridge,20 Dec.2010_Acanthopanax senticosus wildly grows in the Northeast.The combination of unfavorable climates and overexploitation in previous years caused the production to decline year by year.It is said that the government doesn't encourage farmers to dig this plant now.As yet,the prices for the roots rise up to 75RMB/kg,up 50% over the same period last year.
The demand for siberian ginseng extract is so small that most manufacturers produce 10-20 tons only after the harvest season and then sell in the whole year.Limited by production technologies,only a few manufacturers can supply 1.5% eleutherosideB+E in China.Therefore,0.8% eleutherosideB+E is the main specification in domestic market and primarily use for pharmaceuticals and health products in foreign countries.
The prices for acanthopanax senticosus began to increase in February this year.Accordingly,the price for 0.8% eleutherosideB+E rose to 70-80RMB/kg,compared to 60RMB/kg last year.In addition to small demand,as manufacturers look forward to stabilize the present customer group,they may trade siberian ginseng extract at the original price level.That is to say that the siberian ginseng extract market may not fluctuate in the near future.
