Herbridge,24 Nov.2010_The curcumin market is still in tight supply in China.Even to get dozens of kilograms of 95% curcumin, it needs to purchase them from two companies. That indicates that manufacturers only have a very few goods in stock.
As for major manufacturers, they try their best to secure supplies for its customers on contract, but have to refuse to new orders. The prices for 95% curcumin sees no obvious change recently, and remains around 1400RMB/kg.Of course, there is only a few curcumin available in China.
According to herbridge.com,the new crops are expected to reach the market in February in India, and at that time the prices for turmeric are likely to decline on account of better production estimates of turmeric in 2010-11.
