Many wild raw materials are found in Guangxi province.Centella used to extract asiaticosides mainly grows in Guangxi province.Owing to the serious drought in Guangxi this year,the output of centella decreased sharply.Manufacturers have to purchase centella in Guizhou.Compared to previous prices,the prices for centella increase over 2 fold this year.The prices for centella asiatica extract has been rising since February.Even in the harvest season,there was no downward tendency.
According to herbridge.com,as consumers tend to look for natural cosmetics,the demand for centella asiatica extract has been increasing in recent years.Even in the depression,the demand increases compared to two years ago.
The prices for 70% and 80% asiaticosides are2800RMB/kg,4000RMB/kg,respectively.The prices are expected to rise again before the Spring Festival.
