Herbridge,9 September_As natural sweeteners,the demand for neohesperidin and neohesperidin dihydrochalcone(NHDC) is higher this year.Industry insider said,"the demand for neohesperidin is significantly higher than that for NHDC."The prices for neohesperidin and NHDC are both at high levels but keep stable in China.For instance,the market prices for 95% neohesperidin and 96% NHDC are basically maintained at 1000RMB/kg and1800RMB/kg,respectively.
Neohsperidin and NHDC are primarily derived from immature Bitter Orange.The forecast production is over 60 percent lower on account of unfavorable climatic conditions.In the spring,cool temperatures slowed plant growth.Afterwards,the serious flood occured in most growing areas.The harvest season will be completed recently.But farmers may hold back stocks on hopes of better prices.The arrivals decreased sharply in the market.Currently,the prices are RMB3 per kilo higher compared with the beginning of 2010.
