Herbridge,23 August 2010_Echinacea will be harvested in September in China. The market sees no change on stable domestic and overseas demand.
As a widely used botanical ingredient, the demand for echinacea extract is stable in China.Echinacea was introduced in China in 1970s and grows well here.A number of manufacturers supply echinacea extract now.But prices vary with qualities.A few manufacturers own echinacea GAP growing bases and mainly supply 4% polyphenols at a higher price, around 120RMB/kg.Owing to small demand associated with higher production cost for chicoric acid, only a few firms supply this ingredient.
According to herbridge.com,the new crop will arrive in September in China.Echinacea extract derived from new crop will be available in late September, and prices will flutuate in line with market conditions.Industrial player said,"It won't probably see substantial change."
