Herbridge,30 July 2010_The price for cnidium monnieri has been increasing since the harvest season came and reaches around 12RMB/kg now.The price still has the upward tendency.

    Cnidium monnieri wildly grows in Shaanxi,Jiangsu,Shandong and Anhui provinces.The harvest time varies in different planting regions.Generally, it is harvested during July and September.As early as late June,Herbridge.com learned that the procurement price increased this year.The price increase of most medicinal materials is largely attributed to climates,increased labor cost and its qualities,among others.At that time,the purchase price reached 10RMB/kg.

    The price is fluctuating between 11.5RMB/kg and 13RMB/kg.The price may further rise in the future.According to herbridge.com,due to increased labor cost,the price for cnidium monnieri once rose from 6.5RMB/kg to 8RMB/kg last year and then maintained at this level.

    30% and 40% osthole are normal versions.Manufacturers will supply other versions to meet specific customer requirements and customizations.Some manufacturers in Shaanxi province may regularlly supply 30-40% osthole and hold some stocks.Constrained by technologies and demands of 90% osthole or others with higher content,manufacturers either have the inventory level at a very low level,or receive customizations.

    According to herbridge.com,the price increase of raw materials hasn't  severely influenced osthole prices.The infulence may come in the future.The price for 30% and 95% osthole is around 550RMB/kg and 3500RMB/kg,respectively.We will keep an eye on these products.
