The black pepper price rose from 18RMB/kg to 25RMB/kg.Gao Ligang,general manager, Shaanxi Tianben Bioengineering Co., Ltd. noted,"Suppliers basically make no profit at this price if they don't have stocks.The rising for black pepper price presents material cost pressure to manufacturers,but they have to keep the current piperine price for the sake of stabilizing the present customer group.There are some stocks in the market."
The domestic demand for piperine is small in China.Piperine can use both as food and medicine.98% piperine is available in China.According to herbridge.com,late as the start was,the production process has been improved continuously for years.The price for 98% piperine decreases gradually from 6000RMB/kg to around 4000RMB/kg.Piperine suppliers primarily locate in Shaanxi province,including Xi'an Ciyuan Biotech Ltd,Shaanxi Tianben Bioengineering Co., Ltd.
