        Cochineal pigment mainly including carmine acid is extracted from the dried female cochineal.Cochineal pigment is determinated by content rather than the color value.That means to say cochineal pigment has a single effective component.Therefore,cochineal pigment is the stablest pigment with heat-resistant and light-resistant properties,almost no affected under 100℃.PH has no remarkable effect on this pigment.Which expand the application in the food and beverage industry.

        Cochineal pigment is in powder form with 50%-55% content.Price is still the determining factor in China.Given the material cost,many F&B manufacturers can't afford the high price for cochineal pigment.Currently,the price rises sharply stimulated by the large international demand with a over 300 percent hike,almost varing every day.Which further stem the domestic demand.

        Cochineal pigment is not a new product.However,there is no scale production enterprises in China.Cochineal pigment in domestic is almost imported.Industry insider said"No technology,No material,No price advantage"in respect of the cochineal pigment in China.
