China cosmeceutical market is booming

        The cosmeceutical is an emerging sector in cosmetics with 10%-20% annual growth rate in recent years.The turnover of cosmetics is expected  to be around RMB12bn,of which the cosmeceutical sales is forcast to be RMB48bn.

        It is the fact that there is no single company dominating the market that provides opportunies for manufacturers.It is recorded that both large  cosmetics companies and drug manufacturing enterprises are looking to enter this potentially lucrative market.e.g. Jahwa, Shiseido,Guangzhou  Chenliji Pharm and Mayinglong Pharm.Which is also encouraged by tremendous profit growth demand,especially for domestic pharmceutical  enterprises.

        It is relatively easy for drug companies to involve in the cosmeceutical sector.Meanwhile,the cosmeceutical market is much simplier compared to  the chaotic health food market in China.Moreover,the new medical reform drives many enterprises to operate pluralistic development,looking for  the new profit growth spot.Therefore,the cosmeceutical market becomes a key target.In addition,the new medical reform prompts retail drug  stores to target the cosmeceutical.Which objectively provides marketing channel for the cosmeceutical companies.
