Chinese Pharmacopeia(ChP),2010 was published by Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Press at the beginning of the year and will take effect after 01 July 2010.The new ChP is on the principle of advancement of standard and controllability of quality with the character of “scientific, practical, standardized”.The 2010 ChP implementation means the beginning of more advanced standard formulation.
The new ChP strived to be in line with international standards and widely adopted home and abroad advanced technology and experiment method.Meanwhile,the new ChP worked out measures to suit local conditions and conducted researches in accordance with different characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), chemical medicine and biological products.The standards of traditional Chinese medicinal materials and medicinal slices of TCM was particularly emphasized,applying new technology and methods actively.A large number of modern analytical technologies were extensively used in the field of TCM.The specific identification method conforming to characteristics of TCM was increased by a large margin.Green standards were promoted and the controllability and safety were put on high emphasis.
It is said that state relevent sector is actively planning the formulation of 2015 ChP. They work hard to complete the national pharmaceutical standard and relative law and regulations to provide legal guarantee and propel the healthy and standardizing development of the industry.
