There are different standards of chinese medicinal materials between Chinese Taiwan and China Mainland. Therefore always drift away each other in business.Currently,Mainland China cooperated with Taiwan and keep make explorations in order to formulate the uniform standards between the straits.

Liu Zhanlin from China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE) explained that cross-strait standards are strongly complementary to each other and hence enjoy huge potential chance for cooperation.Chinese Taiwan emphasizes particularly on the control of heavy metal, pesticide residues etc.The regulation is strict and wide available.Mainland China focus on cultivation,component analysis as well as medicinal slices of TCM etc.        

        Experts suggested that the research on standards of chinese medicinal materials should pay attention to reference substance associated with material standard as well as standard method.
