China is main resveratrol supplying market.Resveratrol is extracted from Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc(Giant Knotweed Rhizome ) which is rich in Hunan Province of China.Now It is understood that resveratrol price further declines at present.98% resveratrol price falls to 2800RMB/kg from 3000RMB/kg generally offered last month.50% resveratrol price (with emodin content less than 3%) is around 750RMB/kg which was 850RMB/kg last month.The price for 98% and 50% resveratrol was up to 3700RMB/kg and 1200RMB/kg in April and May this year.
Resveratrol price has dropped slightly since the harvest time.But raw material price didn’t decline noticeably.It is generally believed that the price decrease mainly resulted from excessive suppliers joining the industry without consideration.Participants said there were only a few manufacturers with the ability to supply resveratrol of high quality.
