According to the Herbridge media, in October 2014, Yunnan Alphy Biotech Co., Ltd. successfully applied for the protection of the bio-origin place of haematococcus pluvialis and astaxanthin oil of Chuxiong. General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has accepted the application of the protection of the bio-origin place of haematococcus pluvialis and astaxanthin oil of Chuxiong, and issued the notice to show no disagreement.
 

As revealed by our media, according to the Management Stipulation on Marking of Original Place and its implementation methods, as well as the Guidance of Protection on Bio-origin Place Products and the General Rules on Protection of Bio-origin Products, and upon the preliminary check by Yunnan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and appraisal by China Society for Promotion of Ecological Ethics, the bio-origin place of haematococcus pluvialis and astaxanthin oil of Chuxiong meets relevant conditions and according protection is proposed.
 
This case is the first success of like ones in China, and also the start of enterprises to highlight the protection of resources, especially local resources.
