The natural sources of resveratrol are from grape seed and Polygonum cuspidatum. It is understood that Europe, Japan and the Korean markets are more inclined to food sources such as sources from grape. However, the U.S. and Canadian markets tend to the sources from cuspidatum.
ChangSha Kang Long told herbridge media, the natural sources of resveratrol face many challenges due to the synthesis resveratrol. In addition to some of the largest international health care products manufacturers focus on natural sources of resveratrol, the United States and other countries are more concerned with the procurement costs of resveratrol.Accoring to the current market, the specification of 50% resveratrol supply tightly and it may last for 1-2 years.Because the production and sales of resveratrol from raw material procurement to marketing are complexed and with large investment,so the resveratrol manufacturers will not rashly follow.
The main production of resveratrol on the market is in Hunan, Sichuan and Shandong. The overall trend of resveratrol in the second quarter of 2013 was upward on the market, the source of resveratrol from Polygonum cuspidatum along with herbs, solvents and the increase in labor costs raised, It's expected the future market will still float, but the highest price will not be more than 750¥/kg owing to the effect of synthetic resveratrol.
